Cool Countries, Delicious Dishes

Traveling lets one discover so many things, including gastronomic experiences. If you’re a traveling foodie, then you may want to try the following eats when you touchdown onto these awesome countries.

Mexico
Mexico is a country known for its salsa, tacos, burritos, and fajitas. But one overlooked scrumptious dish is the Pozole. It is made of hominy, pork/chicken/turkey/pork rinds, chili peppers, lime, seasonings, and veggies. It is cooked and simmered for hours (overnight often). It is a savory soup/stew.

Russia
Who says dumplings are only Asian? Russia has its own version of dumplings known as Pelmeni and it is yummy! Pelmeni have meatballs inside and these dumplings are slathered in butter with sour cream topped all over it. See here

India
Thali lets you eat a bit of everything so I recommend you try this even if you’re a novice at Indian cuisine. Get ready to enjoy a rollercoaster of spices when you try the dips. It’s very enjoyable to eat with someone else.

Poland
Polskie naleśniki or Polish pancakes tasty! These very thin pancakes are served either with cheese, quark previously mixed with sugar, jam, fruits and powdered sugar or with meat and vegetables all wrapped inside. See here

Philippines
Of course, the Philippines should be listed here! Haha! The country enjoys a warm climate all year long so if you want to cool down with something sweet and refreshing (and filling), try the popular Halo-Halo.

There are many restaurants and vendors that make and sell this sweet treat. It consists of sugar, 50% diced fruits (it varies from coconut slices to jackfruit pieces), and sweet beans and 50% shaved ice. Evaporated milk is poured all over it. It is topped with a spoonful of ube (semi-sweet purple yam) and leche flan (sweet milk custard). It is eaten using a spoon.

Awesome Mobile Phone Accessories

Mobile phones can be expensive enough. But if you’re lucky enough to have the budget to get accessories that can accompany your gadget, then you might want to check the following.
The Galaxy phablet can be too big to get from your bag just to check the time or quickly capture an image. The smart watch can do it for you plus lots more!

Why bother lug around a DSLR when you can use your phone + detachable lens!

Why buy a new phone that’s waterproof when you can still retain your much-loved phone and get an accessory instead?
