For
most of us, shopping has always been an activity that most people do whenever
they have free time. Most of the time, people do it to reward themselves or
someone. Although not everyone has the luxury of free time like other people
usually have, being able to shop on conventional malls is very challenging for
them. Now, that online shopping is rising in the country, it is a great
alternative for these people who have issues with this. It also helped that shopping
nowadays is more easier since we can now do it traditionally offline or thru
online. Shopping is no longer a time issue for most of us.
These
are the person who works during unusual hours. These are the customers who work
on graveyard shift. It's usually closed mall hours when they are free. Even if
these people want to visit traditional malls, they can't. They only visit these
traditional malls when they have no work. It's more complicated for these
consumers unlike if they work on a normal time shift. Now that online shopping
is rising, it's good for these kinds of customers who have a weird schedule.
Nowadays, a lot of businesses are turning their business to online. What's
amazing is that it only started last year in the Philippines.
After
they arrived in the country, others followed on their footsteps. They are
actually one of the first online malls established in the country. Some South
East Asia countries also have Lazada on their country. The industry of
Ecommerce had a quick shift upwards after they arrived in the country. It's
safe to say that they made a huge impact on the local Ecommerce industry.
Competition in the local Ecommerce industry was really low that it made sense
for their arrival in the country. What i very challenging for them is how they
can tell the local Internet users to visit their online mall. It was hard for
them to lure people since online payment is a trouble for most online users.
They
are mostly afraid that their credit card details maybe exposed online. It is
actually more difficult for them since most of the online users don't have
credit cards. This is the reason why Ecommerce struggled early on to thrive in
the country. It doesn't mean that customers have no clue about online payment.
We don't give online malls a second chance since we consider risk and disregard
reward right away. We just pull the plug once we encounter these kind of
website right away. Most of the time, we consider them as a scam the minute we
see them online. This makes online shopping very hard to penetrate just basing
on these two issues. These two Ecommerce problems in the country were single
handedly solved by the Philippines' Online Shopping Mall. They are one of the
first online stores to offer Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. as an alternative
payment method. This allows online customers to keep there before their orders
arrived at their doorstep.
