When we connect online, we primarily use it to communicate and get information online. These have evolved through the years. It even became a platform for online businesses nowadays. One thing we also considered now in online is shopping. However, is it OK for local customers to choose online shopping over the conventional offline shopping? If this was a question asked a few years ago then I'm pretty sure that everyone in local community will definitely say no. It will always matter to customers that online mall have a good credibility if ever they will try online shopping. It's no secret that most of us are scared to shop online since a lot of online scams and frauds happen in online occasionally the majority of the population doesn’t have their own credit cards, which makes it harder for online shopping. It's no surprise that a lot of the first time customers ask themselves a lot of question before proceeding on their online shopping. Having a secured credit card online is very important for an online store have. These details are usually thought of by customers should they decide to shop online.

Actually, online shopping changed after Lazada arrived in the country a couple of years ago. A solution for the local online market was brought by the Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall upon their arrival in the country. They offered an alternative payment method that will allow them penetrate the Ecommerce industry. They call this payment method Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. This will allow customers to feel secured when shopping on their website. Since usual payment methods on typical online stores such as credit card payment is not required, customers can try shopping on their website without risking their money. How will customers be able to use this easily for them? They can select from the huge selection of their website. There is no need to pay right away in case customers figured out which one they want to buy.

Customers are not required to pay upfront if they select Cash on Delivery for their orders to be processed. Customers can relax after they have provided their shipment details and wait for its arrival, which usually takes two to five days but sometimes earlier. Once customers get their order upon delivery, it is only the time they are subject to pay in cash in real time. If orders exceeds one thousand pesos, customers won't have to pay for the delivery fee. With this setup, customers will be assured that they are covered since they won’t need to pay right away until their order arrives on their address. This setup is really unconventional as online stores usually have the upper hand between online deals. On the other hand, it gives the online customers more power online as they don’t need to risk everything right away. This setup can pretty much convince anyone to shop on their mall even if they are not thinking of shopping in the first place.
