Lazada: A dilemma in shopping

It has been a long debate between online shopping malls over traditional malls. It is now becoming strong competition for online shopping’s end since more Internet users are now becoming active online. It also helps that more people stay online in a day than offline. I personally believe the penetration of the smartphones in the market contributed to it. It has now become easier for anyone to be online whenever or wherever they may be. Going back, a lot of consumers might reject online shopping if this was asked a few years back. A lot of factors are considered if customers even consider this option since customers will always question online malls’ credibility.

Most of us are worried about getting scammed in online that's why we try avoiding shopping online at most times. It's even harder for most consumers to shop online since they don't have any credit cards. As a customer, it's pretty easy to understand on why customers won't easily budge in shopping online. It's always important for customers that online stores they are buying from have a strong and secured line. Customers proceeding to online shopping are usually bound with these details. A lot changed in online shopping when Lazada arrived in the local Ecommerce industry a year ago. After their arrival, they had a solution on how they will solve the Ecommerce woes of the country. They introduced an alternative payment method that will solve both of the major Ecommerce woes in the country.

The Philippines Online Shopping Mall calls it Cash on Delivery or simply C.O.D. What this payment method does is that it removes the worry of online customers. Credit card details of customers doesn't need to be surrendered and will allow them to try their website without risking too much on their end. How can it make it easier for customers? Local online consumers can easily check their huge selections on their website. Customers that selected what they want to buy n the website are necessarily required to pay upfront. They only require customers who select Cash on Delivery to give a few details like the shipment address and name of the recipient without need to pay upfront.

Customers can easily relax once they provided their delivery details and wait for the arrival of their orders which takes about two to five days. As order packages are handed over to customers, that’s the only time they will need to pay for their orders via cash payment. The Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall may cover delivery fee as long as the order value exceeds the one thousand-peso mark. This allow customers to have assurance that they are safe since they get to keep their money up until it is delivered to them. This is actually rare to see in an online store where customers have the upper hand over the online store. As a result, this gives the customers more edge. Therefore, allowing the customers to actually try shopping on their website even if they didn’t intend to buy in first place.
