Lazada Philippines: A crossroad on where to shop nowadays

I’m pretty sure that most of us have tried or even thought of doing online shopping. However, we always reach a crossroads wherein we doubt online stores’ credibility and we realize we are limited in paying an online mall via online. Online shopping is a great alternative for us in addresses our shopping needs. These allow Filipinos to have more option and be in control of their time. They just have a tough schedule and work lifestyle. These are the people who don’t have time during daylight and are at work at night. They are usually not free when malls are open, which is a pain for their situation. These are the people who can't visit malls when they want. It's only during holidays or weekends when they can visit these traditional malls. Since they don't work at a normal time shift, it's obvious that it is harder for them. It's better now for them since they have online shopping as an option. Most offline businesses are now being made available to online as well. Actually, this only started last year in the Philippines.

When Lazada Philippines showed up, other online malls showed up as well. This makes them one of the first online malls to service the local online users. Some South East Asia countries also have them on their country. The industry of Ecommerce had a quick shift upwards after the Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall arrived in the country. It's safe to say that they made a huge impact on the local Ecommerce industry. It actually made sense for any online business to try the local online market given that competition is very low. The real challenge for them is how they will tell people to shop on their website. The local online users did just not regard online payment dearly. This is why it was harder for online malls to turn visitors to customers. It's just really hard to trust online since credit card details might be compromised if used online.

Moreover, credit cards are not widely used in the country since a only a fraction of the population posses it. It slowed down the Ecommerce growth in the country. This doesn't mean that we are not aware of online payment. It's quite hard for customers to not focus on risk before looking on the reward that lies ahead. It's just simple and easy; we don't want to give online malls a chance especially if it’s still new to our ears. We judge them immediately as a scam websites. These combinations can easily tell to investors that it will be hard to penetrate the local market. They solved these issues in the local Ecommerce market. They first introduced Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. in online to solve these issues. It's actually not a requirement for them to pay them right away as they are only required once their delivery arrives at their address. This way, it is easier for current customers to shop online and entire prospect customers for the future.
