Lazada Philippines: More options in online shopping

Internet has been around for quite some time now. All through the years that passed by, it evolved to many purpose in making our lives easier. Similar to what technology did in our lifestyle. The evolution of the Internet goes way back in the early 2000 where people only go their only if they want to get information. From then, it evolved on becoming a platform in communication. This is when Social Media took off and arrived like a wildfire in the online scene. A lot of the online users that barely connect online stay longer now with their arrival. It gave local online users purpose.

It makes a lot of the usual shopping woes easier. Rather than go with traditional shopping, which is offline, it's good to know that we can also avail online shopping. These allow Filipinos to have more option and be in control of their time. They live in lifestyle where they prefer to live life at night. These are the customers who work during at night and are asleep all day. It's usually closed mall hours when they are free. Unlike most of us, they can't visit any malls. Traditional malls are only available to them when they don't have work. People who live this kind of lifestyle gets a hard time compared if they work on a normal shift. Good news for them - online shopping is now an available option for them.

Nowadays, a lot of businesses are turning their business to online. It has only begun to expand last year in the country. This rise took place when Lazada arrived in the Philippines. Their arrival makes them one of the first online malls to arrive here. They were also launched in other South East Asia countries. The industry of Ecommerce had a quick shift upwards after the Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall arrived in the country. They can actually take credit for their influence on the local Ecommerce scene. Since the competition is really low, it's only natural for them to launch it in the country. What makes it challenging for them is how they will lure local Internet users to their online mall. One of the factors why online users were hard to lure is because they are not familiar with online payment. They are mostly afraid that their credit card details maybe exposed online.

Actually, credit cards are not widely used in the country. This is one of the main reasons why Ecommerce growth where slowed down. This doesn't mean that the local consumers are unaware of local online payments. We don't give Ecommerce websites enough chance since we are close minded and think only of the risk. We just pull the plug once we encounter this kind of website right away. To us, it's all put up to scam local online users. This pretty much speaks loudly that Ecommerce is a no joke for online investors. These issues in the local Ecommerce market were solved by Lazada. They came up with an alternative payment method they called Cash on Delivery or C.O.D.  This allows online customers to keep their before their orders arrived at their doorstep.
