Lazada Philippines: Battle of shopping platforms

It has been a long debate which one is better for us between shopping on online malls and going to traditional offline malls. While most have a fair share with their respective pros and cons, each shopping platform delivers the same result – address the customer’s shopping needs! Each shopping option offers a unique selling point to their customers. The process between them is way different from one another. Actually, it all boils down to what type a of a customer is being catered to. Anyway, I’m almost sure that most of us would have said NO if these were asked to us a few years ago. Credibility is always considered by customers if ever they will be shopping on an online mall. Online malls are actually scary to deal with since a there's a chance some of them are just scams and frauds. The majority of the population doesn’t have their own credit cards, which makes it harder for online shopping. As a result, a lot of the online prospects don't easily get convinced in shopping online.

Transactions such as credit card should be ensured by online stores that they are secured for transactions. These are actually factors that customers usually refer to when deciding where to shop. This drastically changed when Lazada was launched in the Philippines a year ago. They came in with a solution for our local Ecommerce issues that plagued us for so long. This alternative payment method is their solution for both of the major Ecommerce woes in the country.  They called it Cash on Delivery or simply known by many as C.O.D. This online setup allows customers to trust them and feel secured right away. By having this option, customers are not required to surrender their credit card details and can try their service without risking too much. How will customers be able to use this easily for them? From their huge selection of items, the local online customers can select which category they like as they visit their website. It doesn't matter if customers can’t pay right away once they are set on what they want to buy since they can actually pay later.

For customers who opted for Cash on Delivery as their payment method, they will only need to fill a few details before their orders are processed without spending a single dime upfront. Customers can relax as soon as they provide their shipment details and wait for its arrival which is around two to five days upon order date. Customers are only required to pay in cash only after order package is handed over to them in real time. Assuming the order value is more than one thousand pesos, delivery fee will be covered by them. This kind of setup enables customers to be at ease since they will only be liable to pay only after orders are received by the customer. Seeing customers having an advantage over online stores is very unusual when you come to think of it.
