Lazada: Online malls get the usual scam website impression

We occasionally look for better ways in what we do. It’s normal to go for the easier way. This may be from doing assignments, tasks at work or now even shopping. A lot of us think of online shopping as a helpful alternative in traditional shopping. These allow Filipinos to have more option and be in control of their time. Their schedule is just very unusual compared to most people. These are the customers who work on graveyard shift. They are usually not free when malls are open, which is a pain for their situation. They really have a hard time visiting traditional malls. They can visit traditional malls during the day off at work. Since they don't work at a normal time shift, it's obvious that it is harder for them. It's great that they have online shopping option now at their disposal. A lot of established offline business is now shifting to online. This only happened last year in the Philippines. This rise took place when Lazada arrived in the Philippines they are one of the first online shopping mall in the Philippines.

Some South East Asia countries also have Lazada on their respective country. The Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall made a splash in the local Ecommerce market compared a couple of years ago where online shopping didn't exist at all The local online market was influenced dearly by their arrival. Actually, it's only logical to establish an online mall in the Philippines since there is not much of a competition. Actually the initial problem they had lies with how they will allow customers to visit their website. Online payment wasn't highly regarded at that time that's why it was hard for them to lure people. It's just really hard to trust online since credit card details might be compromised if used online. Now that the technology is getting more equipped and sophisticated, an average Internet user don’t know already what’s going on behind the scenes in technology. This makes us worry about our safety in online such online identity theft. For us, it’s just better to play safe rather than risk a little and experience great consequences.

What makes it more alarming for them is that there are only a few credit cardholders in the country. This is one of the main reasons why Ecommerce growth was slowed down. It doesn't mean local online users are not familiar with online payment. We don't give online malls a second chance since we consider risk and disregard reward right away. Moreover, we just disregard online malls in general from first encounter. We judge them immediately as a scam websites. These two alone are enough reasons to tell that Ecommerce is really challenging here. Upon Lazada's arrival, they created a solution for these Ecommerce woes. They first introduced Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. in online to solve these issues. Payment with them is not required to be right away and customers can keep it up until they receive their orders.
